Ad hoc, additional data tickets can be used in EU and 1. roaming zone and provide data amount in addition to the data quota included in your tariff package.

The services can be purchased in addition to all tariff packages, except for MobilKvartett, Mobil Internet, Adatkártya, Hipernet Praktikum and Internet Praktikum mobile internet tariffs.

  • Data amount:
    • If your tariff package includes a data amount, the additional data traffic quota(s) may be used with the bandwidth offered with the tariff package and after the data amount included in your tariff package has been used up. When the additional data traffic quota(s) has/have been used up, the available bandwidth is reduced to the speed included in your tariff package.
    • If your tariff package doesn’t include a data amount, you may use additional data traffic quota(s) according to the following offered bandwidth: 7 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload speed. After using up the data amount included in the service(s), the mobile internet will not be available (0/0 kbps download and upload speed).
    • The additional data traffic is added to the data traffic quota. The quota is available in 30 days from the date you ordered. 
    • Traffic quota is reduced by 0.01 MB increments.
    • We notify you via SMS, when you reach 80% and 100% of your quota.
  • Ordering/cancelling:
    • Within 24 hours only one of the services containing the same data amount may be ordered. Apart from the 24 hour restriction, the service can be ordered several times within the invoicing period.
    • The data ticket will be activated within 72 hours of the order. We will notify you of the activation via SMS.
    • You can cancel the services in our shops or through the customer service Call Centre (1220).
  • For Telenor MyTariff tariff package subscribers, the one-off fee for the services may not be paid from the Extra service credit, and it is not included in the monthly quota agreed with regard to the exclusive device discount.

The extra monthly fee data packages can be used in EU and 1. roaming zone, the services containing data traffic quotas, which provide data amount in addition to the data quota included in your tariff package.

The services can be purchased in addition to all tariff packages, except for MobilKvartett, Mobil Internet, Adatkártya, Hipernet Praktikum and Internet Praktikum mobile internet tariffs.

  • Data amount:
    • If your tariff package includes a data amount, ,additional data traffic quota(s) may be used with the bandwidth offered with the tariff package. When the additional data traffic quota(s) has/have been used up, no traffic fee will be charged within Hungary but the available bandwidth will be reduced to the speed included in your tariff package.
    • If your tariff package doesn’t include a data amount, you may use additional data traffic quota(s) according to the following offered bandwidth: 7 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload speed. After using up the quota(s) included in the services, the mobile internet will not be available (0/0 kbps download and upload speed).
    • The additional data traffic is added to the data traffic quota of the current invoicing period/prepaid cycle at the time it is ordered. The quota is available until the end of the cycle and may not be carried over to the next one.
    • Traffic quota is reduced by 0.01 MB increments.
    • We notify you via SMS when you reach 80% and 100% of your quota.
  • Ordering/cancelling:
    • You can use only one data package at a time. If you switch between packages, your earlier package will be cancelled.
    • The data package will be activated within 72 hours of the order. We will notify you of the activation via SMS.
    • You can cancel the services in our shops or through the customer service Call Centre (1220).
  • For Telenor MyTariff tariff package subscribers, the monthly fee for the services is included in the monthly quota agreed due to the exclusive device discount, but it may not be paid from the Extra service credit.

Definitions

data: Every time you use the internet on your phone, you use data. When you browse, visit social media sites, watch videos or download pictures. You can purchase data in packages containing a specified amount. The more you use the internet, the more data you need.

data use: If you access the internet on your phone or use applications, you use data. Please be aware that the apps on your device can use data even in the background, without any indication or warning: they download your new messages, refresh weather data or check for new versions, which they can offer for download. These synchronizations running in the background count as data use, just like when you are browsing, watching videos or listening to music. You may limit the data use of apps with certain settings, e.g. to refresh only through WIFI.

MB/GB: Unit of measurement of data. MB: megabyte, GB: gigabyte 1 GB = 1024 MB

mobile internet quota / data traffic quota: Data of a pre-determined amount used for accessing the internet and available until the end of the validity period. Your tariff package can include a mobile internet quota, or you can purchase an additional data ticket or an extra data package to add to your existing quota.

tracking data usage: You should keep track of your mobile internet quota, so it doesn’t come as a surprise if you suddenly run out of quota. You can add to it in time by purchasing a new data package. This way you can continue watching videos, browsing and sharing your experiences on the internet. You can find regularly refreshed information about your mobile internet quota on the free MyTelenor appon. You can set most smartphones to warn you when you reach a certain data amount.

using up data traffic quota: This is the situation, when you use up all data available to you. Two things can happen in this case. We either reduce the speed or disable it, depending on your data package. If you continue using the internet after the reduction of speed, no further fees apply. We notify you via SMS when you reach 80% and 100% of your quota.

additional data ticket: When you use up your mobile internet quota but would like to continue using the internet at the usual speed, you should order a one-off additional data ticket. This data ticket is valid until the end of your invoicing period/prepaid cycle and a one-off fee will be deducted for every order.

monthly fee / extra data package: If you want to use the internet with a bigger mobile internet quota regularly, and not just on an ad hoc basis, you can choose from our monthly fee data packages. It is sufficient to order this package only once, after which the increased data amount will be available to you every month. The monthly fee data package price will be indicated on your invoice. If you have a prepaid tariff, the monthly fee of the service will be deducted from your balance.

Validity of data tickets and data packages:

  • for postpaid subscribers: Always the end of the given invoicing period. You can find your invoicing period on the invoice, but can also check it on MyTelenor or via the MyTelenor appon, by calling 1220 or in our shops.
  • for prepaid subscribers: Always the end of the given prepaid cycle. You can find out more about your prepaid cycle on 1220 or in our shops.

Speed: The speed of the service you use means the speed at which you receive and send data while using the internet. The higher the speed, the smoother and faster pages and videos load, and the faster you can use the internet.

Speed limit: If you have completely used up your data quota for the given period, we limit the speed. However, all you need to do is order an additional data ticket or an extra mobile internet package above and continue using the internet.

WiFi and mobile internet: You can choose to use a WiFi network freely in addition to your mobile internet package. If you connect to a WiFi network, you don’t use your mobile internet quota while accessing the internet.

Mobil Online Start

If you need the internet on your mobile phone only occasionally, a few times a month or would like to try using internet on your phone.

  • Daily access fee,, which includes 1 MB domestic data traffic: HUF 278
  • Data traffic fee per 0.1 MB above the 1 MB data traffic quota included in the daily access fee: HUF 4.9

The service can be used upon payment of the usage fee, ordered in addition to a voice tariff. For data traffic, payment of the usage fee is due by calendar day from the beginning of the first data traffic on the given day; after the data amount included in the daily access fee is used up, the service is subject to a fee based on the transferred data amount. The service carries no monthly fee. Data traffic is billed in 0.1 MB units. The Subscriber will be billed for each unit begun. The 1 MB data traffic quota included in the daily access fee may be used until the end of the given calendar day at the latest; the unused quota may not be carried over to the following day or billing cycle. Download and upload speed guaranteed by the Operator with 2G, 3G, HSPA, HSPA+, HSPA+DC and 4G/LTE technologies: 0 Mbps. The availability of the offered bandwidth (theoretical maximum download and upload speed) depends on the availability of the network technology providing the service at the given location, the availability of devices (e.g. phone, suitable SIM card) supporting the technology and the network load at the given moment. Detailed rules regarding quality parameters are defined in Annex 4 of the GTC.
