What do I have to bring to purchase a post-paid, pre-paid or New Generation pre-paid subscription package?
What is required to conclude a Subscription Service Agreement?
If you wish to authorise someone else to take administrative procedures on your behalf, the original copy of one of the following types of autorizations must be presented. Deviations may also be accepted in certain cases therefore, for the conditions of use please contact our Call Center or Points of Sale:
- Normal authorization (signed by two witnesses): the Authorization is signed by the Subscriber with his own hands which is to be confirmed by the signatures of two witnesses. Such Authorization may be made on the spot.
- Written Authorization from the company: for a corporate (insitutional) Subscriber the Authorization is issued to the authorizee by those authorized to sign for the company.
- The Operator also accepts a Power of Attorney attested by a Notary Public. The Power of Attorney is issued by a Notary Public in the presence of the Subscriber and the Authorizee.
The authorization must contain the following:
- The subject of the authorization;
Personal particulars of the Subscriber as authorizer (name, name at birth, date and place of birth, address, maiden name of mother), personal identity document number and the Subscriber’s signature with his own hands; for a corporate (institutional) Subscriber: personal particulars of those authorized to sign for the company, and their signatures with their own hands;
- personal particulars of the authorizee (name, name at birth, date and place of birth, address, maiden name of mother), personal identity document number and the Subscriber’s signature with his own hands;
- For normal authorizations (signed by two witnesses): name and address of the two witnesses and their signatures with their own hands.
I. Company/Business organisation
Incorporated business organizations include the following forms of companies, such as corporations (inc.), limited liability companies (ltd.), general partnerships (gps.), limited partnerships (lps.), sole proprietorships (sp,), limited liability sole proprietorships (llsp.), associations, joint ventures, state- owned companies, co-operatives, direct commercial representations of foreigners in Hungary, Hungarian branches of foreign enterprises, foreign companies with seat registered in Hungary.
Required Original Documents:
- a Specimen Signature attested by a notary public or an attorney;
- a valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract, or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
- a bank account contract or a certificate form the bank keeping the account;
- stamp (if any on the specimen signature attested by a notary public or an attorney).
Original Documents Required from Companies under Registration
- Before the Subscription Contract is signed, the certificate of incorporation issued by the Registry Court, and the Charter or Articles of Association, signed by each member and countersigned by an attorney have to be sent in electronic format to the following e-mail address: adatvedelem@telenor.hu;
- a Specimen Signature attested by a notary public or an attorney;
- a valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract, or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
- a bank account contract or a certificate from the bank keeping the account;
- stamp (if any on the Specimen Signature attested by a notary public or an attorney).
II. Private person
For Buying a Post-Paid Subscription Package
Original documents required:
Without buying a subsidized handset:
- Of the following documents one personal ID bearing a photograph shall be presented: a valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract; or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of old type or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
For buying a subsidized handset:
- Of the following documents two personal IDs bearing a photograph shall be presented: a valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract; or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of old type or a valid passport and the card certifying home address.
- If only one of the documents bearing a photograph (and a home address card) listed in the first section is presented, buying a subsidized handset is subject to any one of the following conditions:
• presentation of a paid public utility bill (cable TV, fixed-line telephone, internet [monthlyfee mobile internet, internet provided over fixed-line telephone line, internet provided over cable-TV network]) not older than 3 months, issued to the name and registered permanent address in Hungary of the person signing the contract (Subscriber), or
• presentation of a bank account statement not older than 3 months, issued to the name and registered permanent address in Hungary of the person signing the contract (Subscriber), or
• effecting an advance payment for the contract.
For buying a handset at a specially preferential subsidized price
- When using a specially preferential subsidy for buying a handset under the tariff packages in clause VIII.5 of the main text of the General Terms of Contract, two personal IDs bearing a photograph listed in 1.2.a for buying a subsidized handset shall be presented.
- If only one of the personal IDs bearing a photograph listed in 1.2.a (and the home address card) is presented, advance payment for the contract required in clause IV.1.1.8 of the main text of the General Terms of Contract shall be effected.
For Buying a Pre-Paid New-Generation Subscription Package
Required original documents:
- Of the following documents one personal ID bearing a photograph shall be presented: a valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract; or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address.
III. Foreign citizens
For Buying a Post-Paid Subscription Package
Required original documents:
For holders of a personal identity card issued in Hungary (identity card issued to aliens, temporary residence permit/permanent residence permit – either as a separate document or any form of sticked decal):
- One of the following documents as 1st document shall be presented: personal identity card or temporary residence permit issued to foreigners; or a permanent residence permit issued as a separate document (in case of a temporary/permanent residence permit issued in the form of sticked decal, the identity card issued to aliens shall also be presented); or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary, or registration certificate/registration card for EEA citizens. (If the document to be presented does not indicate the home address, a separate home address card shall also be presented). For buying a handset-inclusive post-paid subscription, the residence permit must be valid for 2 years reckoned from the date of purchase. In addition to the above, as 2nd document, the valid passport issued by the competent foreign authority for the person signing the contract shall be presented.
In lack of an identity card issued in Hungary (see section 1), or if only one of the documents bearing a photograph listed under section 1 is presented:
- Signing a Subscription Contract is subject to the payment of an advance fee. If this be the case, foreign private individuals shall be required to present a valid passport.
For Buying a Pre-Paid and New-Generation Subscription Package
Required original documents:
- Personal identity card issued in Hungary for the person signing the contract (identity card issued for foreigners, or temporary residence permit, or registration certificate/registration card issued for EEA citizens, or permanent residence permit [either as a separate document or as a sticked decal], or a driving license of new type [card]), or the passport of the person signing the contract. If the document does not indicate the residence address in Hungary, the residence address must be certified separately.
IV. Self-employed entrepreneurs
Required original documents:
- Two of the following documents bearing a photograph shall be presented: valid personal identity card of old type of the person signing the contract, or personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address, or personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address, or driving license of new type (card) issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address, or passport and the card certifying home address;
- Entrepreneurial certificate (or, in lack of such a certificate, the registration number of the self-employed entrepreneur).
If only one of the documents bearing a photograph (and a home address card) listed in the first section is presented, buying at our Points of Sale is subject to any one of the following conditions:
- presentation of a paid public utility bill (cable TV, fixed-line telephone, internet [monthly-fee mobile internet, internet provided over fixed-line telephone line, internet provided over cable-TV network]) not older than 3 months, issued to the name and to the Hungarian permanent address of the person signing the contract, certified by any of the above documents, or
- presentation of a bank account statement not older than 3 months, issued to the name of the person signing the contract, or effecting an advance payment for the contract.
V. Private attorney
Required original documents:
- Valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract; or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
- a valid lawyer’s certificate.
VI. Other organisations
The category of “Other Organizations” includes: foundations, associations, churches, political parties, other civilian organizations, trade unions, lawyer’s offices, block of freehold flats.
Required original documents:
- The decision of an agency of government or a court of justice on registering the social organization, or a certified copy of the records maintained by the same authority, or a copy of the registry sheet issued by the competent chamber of commerce, or the deed of foundation submitted to the authority, containing at least the name of the organization, its seat, authorized
- representative and the method of representation, provided that such information is being kept on file and specimen signature attested by a notary public or an attorney (if any);
- original document certifying entry into the records of the tax authority (APEH), provided that such registration is mandatory for the organization (tax registration form or a certificate issued by the Court of Registry or the APEH);
- Valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract, or a personal
- identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
- a bank account contract or a certificate from the bank keeping the account;
- stamp (if any).
VII. Government Agencies and Other Institutions
The category of “Government Agencies and Other Institutions” includes: government agencies, educational institutions, welfare and social institutions, museums and local governments.
Required original documents:
- An original document or its certified copy certifying the registration and functioning status of the agency or institution, identifying it at least by name and seat;
- an original document certifying entry into the records of APEH, the tax authority, provided that such registration is mandatory for the agency or institution in question (tax registration form or a certificate issued by the court of Registry or the APEH);
- a document certifying the right to sign for the agency or institution;
- valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract, or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address;
- a bank account contract or a certificate from the bank keeping the account;
- stamp (if any).
VIII. Diplomatic agencies
Required original documents:
- A document certifying the right to sign for the agency;
- a power of attorney issued for the particular transaction at hand on the official letterhead of the embassy;
- valid personal identity card of old type issued for the person signing the contract, or a personal identity card of old type and the card certifying home address; or a personal identity card of new type and the card certifying home address; or a driving license of new card type issued in Hungary and the card certifying home address; or a valid passport and the card certifying home address. For foreign citizens a valid temporary or permanent residence permit; or the personal identity card issued to foreigners; or a passport or a diplomat card with photo will be needed.
IX.Accredited Diplomats, Relatives of Accredited Diplomats, Foreign Administrative Employees of the Embassy
Required original documents:
- Any identity card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Republic for the diplomat accredited in Hungary, relatives of the accredited diplomat and administrative employees of the embassy, respectively;
- foreign passport issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Republic for the diplomat accredited in Hungary, relatives of the accredited diplomat and administrative employees of the embassy, respectively.
