APN (Access Point Name) is the unique network access point ID belonging to the given packet switched mobile data transmission (hereinafter: GPRS) service. SIM cards use this access point to connect to the selected unique network segment.
A unique GPRS access point in which SIM cards, through mobile data networks, are able to communicate exclusively among themselves. This type of APN is completely separated from both other unique and public APN traffic, and from Internet traffic. Therefore there is no possibility for communication outside of the given access point.
SIM cards can connect to the given APN after so-called GPRS authentication. In the course of this the network only lets authorized SIM cards access the given APN (i.e. the service must have been ordered for the SIM).
Within the APN there are no further switching restrictions.
Within the mobile2mobile APN, IP-based communication takes place via pre-assigned fixed IP addresses. When connecting to an APN the given SIM card always receives its pre-assigned IP address from the network and it can address other SIM cards within the APN with the help of this designation.
The assigned IP addresses are always private addresses, used only in the course of communication within the APN.
The data volume and invoicing appropriate for prevailing individual and public tariff packages are applicable to intra-APN traffic.
In the course of individual data communication within the APN, the highest data transmission speed supported by the network and modem jointly (i.e. the bandwidth achievable in the individual APN does not differ from the bandwidth otherwise achievable within the network).
When designing the service, we always take into account individual needs.
