By using Műholdas és Tengeri Roaming services, offering satellite and maritime roaming, clients can be reached in places where other terrestrial coverage is not available, assuming Telenor Hungary Plc. has concluded agreements with foreign operators to provide these services. Műholdas és Tengeri Roaming services differ in nature from other roaming tariff zones; they comprise an independent tariff zone (Zone 4), which in terms of conditions of use, area, and fees differs from conventional roaming tariff zones.
The services may be used following registration.
Registration is possible in the following locations and manners:
Free registration required to use roaming within Tariff Zone 4 is possible both in Hungary and abroad.
Registration is free of charge and open to all subscribers. However, subscribers who have activated call barring for outgoing roaming calls as part of their tariff package or as a separate service will not be able to register. Clients with call barring activated for incoming roaming calls may register. However, following registration they will only be able to initiate calls; incoming calls will be blocked.
Following registration you will be able to use roaming services in tariff Zone 4 until service is cancelled via one of the channels which can be used to order the service.
With the Műholdas Roaming service, you can receive and initiate calls with a special satellite telephone in the entire operating area of operators with whom Telenor Hungary Plc. has concluded agreements for satellite service (hereinafter: Satellite operator), regardless of your geographical location.
The first time you connect to the network of a Satellite operator in the course of a trip abroad, you will be notified via SMS.
If the telephone of Subscribers using Műholdas Roaming services connects to the network of a Satellite operator, fees of Zone 4 will apply.

With the Tengeri Roaming service, you can receive and initiate calls on your own mobile phone on boats and ferries in specified geographical regions belonging to the area of operation of operators providing the service, or in other places where terrestrial coverage is not available.
If no other service is available within the specific geographical region, satellite-enabled mobile phones of registered subscribers automatically log into the Maritime networks available at Zone 4 rates. The first time your phone connects to the network of a Maritime operator when you are abroad, you will be notified via SMS. If you use the network of a Maritime operator for the first time with your phone, you will be sent a new SMS. However, if when you are abroad you connect to the network of a Maritime operator you have used in the past week, you will not be sent an SMS. This is why it is especially important before travelling to gather information on the roaming search engine of our website about the operators which provide such services.
If the telephone of Subscribers using Tengeri Roaming services connects to the network of a Satellite operator, fees of Zone 4 will apply.
