The BlackBerry® Solution is a mobile office that fits in your pocket. The service enables you to access your mailing system, calendar, address list and tasks via a wireless connection with your BlackBerry® smartphone.

What does the BlackBerry® service offer?

  • You can instantaneously read and reply to your emails and view attached documents even while out of your office.
  • You can call your colleagues and partners, check your calendar and organize your next meeting or program.
  • Using the BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution you can access address lists, tasks, and notes stored on the server.
  • You can also browse the Internet, and send SMS or MMS messages.

Who is it recommended for?

According to service type:

BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution

You can access the functions of the corporate mailing system online via yourBlackBerry® smartphone without the need to connect your computer to the company intranet or synchronizing your mobile phone.

It is recommended for large and medium-sized enterprises with corporate mailing systems.

BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution service fees: (Only available to customers with a dedicated key account manager and a framework agreement)

The monthly service fee includes access to the BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution and 150 MB data traffic within the Telenor Hungary network.

* The 150 MB traffic quota can be used for BlackBerry traffic and Internet browsing (by using blackberry.net APN), but it cannot be used for traffic generated by WAP (wap APN).

A condition of the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution service is a Mobile Internet service package selected by you and activated on your SIM. The Mobile Online Start Internet service package with no monthly fee is automatically activated by Telenor for every new subscriber.

The monthly fee for the selected Mobile Internet package will be charged separately from the monthly fee for the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution. It is important to select a package which suits your needs because the traffic quota of the Mobil Internet package can be applied to BlackBerry service use once the 150 MB limit has been reached, and to all WAP traffic.

How to choose:

  • Mobile Online Start (no monthly fee, high traffic fee) - If you do not use WAP and know that you will not exceed the 150 Mbyte traffic quota.
  • Mobile Online S – For some use in excess of the traffic limit and/or WAP use.
  • Mobil Online M - Distinctive Internet use, mailing traffic, browsing of WAP sites.
  • For higher traffic, Internet 1 GB or Internet 5 GB is recommended.

Mobil Online Napijegy (Mobile Internet Daily Ticket), Mobile Online L (200 MB), Internet Flexi, Internet Premium (15 + 30 GB) packages, and packages not including an over-limit fee CANNOT be used for traffic generated by the BlackBerry device!

BlackBerry® Internet Solution

This service ensures direct access to your emails received via web-based mailing systems (Gmail, Hotmail, Freemail, etc.); your emails are forwarded to the BlackBerry® smartphone without initiating synchronization.

It is recommended for individual customers and small enterprises with registered email addresses who do not have corporate mailing systems.

The BlackBerry® Internet Solution service may of course also be ordered by customers with a framework agreement, and may be used in conjunction with the BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution. In case the two services are ordered concurrently, monthly fees and included traffic quotas are added together.

Technical requirements

Supported mailing systems

BlackBerry® Solutions are compatible with the following mailing systems:

  • Microsoft® Exchange
  • IBM®Lotus®Domino®,
  • Novell®GroupWise®

BlackBerry® Enterprise Server

The solution can be used after installing the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software in addition to the corporate mailing system. It carries out the encryption and forwarding of messages and data, and it also enables the system administrator to set up the parameters of the service and to regulate operation of the system.

  • The installation of the server requires the full compatibility of the user’s IT and technical environment with all items on RIM’s official checklist for the latest version of the software, available at RIM’s website.
  • The server (BlackBerry® Enterprise Server) and user (CAL – Customer Access License) licenses required for the operation of the service may be ordered from Telenor’s business telephone customer service (+36 20 200 0000), in person at one of our shops or via your key account manager.

Security

Messages are totally encrypted all the way from the server to the client using Tripple-DES and AES encryption technology which cannot be accessed by remote servers.

Furthermore, BlackBerry® smartphones can be protected using device passwords of choice and operated using remote IT commands (password modification, device blocking, deletion of device data, etc.).

How to sign up?

BlackBerry® services are available for a monthly fee.

The service is only available with BlackBerry® devices, and BlackBerry devices only operate properly when used in conjunction with a BlackBerry solution.

BlackBerry® services require a subscription to one of the Telenor Mobile Internet service or tariff packages already listed above, and activation of the subscriber’s SIM card (e.g. Mobile Online Start, Mobile Online 5 GB, and Mobile Online 10 GB).

The BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution and the BlackBerry® Internet Solution services may be ordered and used simultaneously. In this case, the monthly fees of the two services are added together.
